It is so very important for you, as the owner of your dental practice, to be aware of the numbers of your business.  It is through the numbers that you can understand the productivity and profitability of your practice.

The first week of every month you should see crucial reports run from the numbers of the previous month.  These reports should be for the Accounts Receivable, the Insurance Claims Outstanding, the Credit Balances, and the Adjustments that were entered from the previous month.

You should sit down with the person responsible for the financial part of your practice and hold that person accountable for the numbers of your practice.  I have to admit that this takes several hours to do this right.  You may think that it is not important enough for you to spend your time this way.  However, I ask you, why did you work so hard to produce that dental treatment if you were not going to get paid for doing it?  If that person is not held accountable on a regular basis, the person eventually gets lax in doing the job.  Accountability is a very important thing.

If you are not willing to take your time to do this, then you should hire me or someone like me, who is not a part of the regular office staff to do this online.  I am currently doing this for several of my clients with very good results.  Call me and I will explain to you how this will help your practice big time!!
